Currents

that Shape Us

supporting embodiment and integration in growing children

Children grow and develop through movement, rhythm, and relationship.

When development is interrupted by stress, birth experiences, illness, or the pace of modern life, the body can hold on to unfinished developmental work.

Here, children are supported in removing obstacles and hinderances to their learning and growth.

Hello, I’m Emily

and welcome to Tending the Currents!

Tending the Currents is here to support children through body-based work that listens to the nervous system and honors the pace and individualistic nature of true integration.

In addition to holding a Master’s in Family Education, I am a pediatric Craniosacral Therapist with special training in primitive reflex integration and child development through Waldorf Extra Lesson.

I help remove obstacles that interfere with a child’s natural capacity to organize, connect, and come into their bodies more fully.

I do not aim to fix or override a child but to meet what is already present and support what is ready to unfold.

Each child and family arrives with a unique story. I hold that story with care, curiosity, and integrity, offering a steady presence as growth continues in its own time.

Parenting in today’s world can feel overwhelmingly busy and noisy, and as a parent of young children, I often longed for grounding and connection. Emily’s classes offered exactly that. Her spaces brought steadiness and warmth, helping me feel supported in my parenting journey. Emily is an exceptionally gifted educator with a deep understanding of Waldorf pedagogy and early childhood development. Her intention and genuine care for families shine through in every class she leads. I am truly grateful for Emily’s mentorship and the nourishing spaces she creates for both parents and children.

Emily is a beautiful soul with an ability to see, connect, nurture, and hold. She has met me in difficult parts of my parenting journey with tenderness, compassion, and her whole heart. She 'gets it.' We are so blessed to have connected with Emily and have her light touch in our lives
