Hello,
I’m Emily. I’m a parent, educator, cranial sacral practitioner, permanent student, and someone who has spent way too many hours reading developmental books for fun. I live in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley with my partner and three children. They are my daily reminders that growth is messy, hilarious, humbling, and always easier with warm meals.
My professional path began with my Master’s in Family Education from the U of MN- Twin Cities. I worked in public school Parent Education (ECFE), where I first discovered how much I love sitting with parents in their real, unfiltered experience. Those early years taught me that every family has a story, every parent carries thoughts they’re afraid to say aloud, and every child is holding more wisdom than we tend to notice.
Eventually, my path wandered (as many good paths do) toward the Waldorf and RIE worlds: parent-child classes, education support, Extra Lesson work, and the anthroposophical approach to childhood that felt like the most embodied form of human development I had ever studied. I found myself drawn to the pedagogy and to the underlying truth that children and their parents unfold best when we can slow down enough to really see and honor one another.
So, I totally dove in. I trained in Waldorf Extra Lesson (Waldorf Learning Support’s 3 year program), Cranial Sacral Therapy (100 hours of training through Heartwood Institute), Forest Teaching (Forest Teacher Institute), and reflex integration (in various additional trainings and mentorship). I am passionate about practices that weave together the body, the brain, and organic human development.
If there’s a thread tying all of this together, it’s my love for how humans grow. I love the wobble, wonder, resist, bloom, and keep going-ness. I care about the mess, the breakthroughs, the late-night Google spirals, and the tiny shifts that feel small until suddenly everything makes more sense.
What I have learned thus far is that childhood is sacred, development isn’t linear, and parenthood is one of the most profound spiritual practices disguised as counter wiping, nose blowing, and answering 400 questions a day. None of us are meant to do this alone, but most of us are anyways. All of us deserve a space to exhale, regroup, and feel deeply supported.
Today, my work offers that space through body-based developmental support, holistic guidance, and Waldorf-inspired conversations that are grounded, human, and accessible. I love translating the quieter Waldorf truths (the ones usually held behind classroom doors or deep in the treasure trove of books only found in a Waldorf basement) into everyday language so families can take what resonates and weave it into their own rhythm and reality. Whether you’re here for a Developmental Profile screening, children’s sessions, Cranial Sacral Therapy, or parent education, my intention is the same: to offer a space where you can breathe easier, understand your child more deeply, and feel more at home in your parenting.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s make this journey feel human, hopeful, and more fun.
